Whisky Master Class - The Richmond Hall, TomintoulRenowned for his expert knowledge and entertaining presentation style, Peter MacKay will guide you through a specially selected range of exquisite malts from the Carn Mor Strictly Limited Range and Celebration of the Cask portfolios. Peter is a well-established member of the whisky industry, as part of Morrision and MacKay, and he possesses a unique insight into the whisky making process from barley, water and yeast to the bottled product on the shelf.
The evening will afford you the opportunity to gain a knowledge and understanding into the whiskies Peter's family business bottles and also hear about how they source the very best casks of whisky. Peter will discuss just why more and more whisky enthusiasts are turning to specialist bottlings that are non-chill filtered with natural colour. You will also have the opportunity to pose questions and get expect feedback from a man with an outstanding repertoire in whisky.
6.00pm - Arrive at the Richmond Hall, Tomintoul and take your seat.
6.15pm - Introduction and welcome by the Whisky Castle. Your Whisky Master Class begins.
7.30pm - Your chance to ask Peter questions informally, with the option to buy what you have tried at a specially discounted price.
8.15pm - You will be escorted to a local hotel in Tomintoul, where you can enjoy a traditional buffet and a dram or two, from the well-stocked whisky bar with a great Scottish atmosphere.
Ticket price includes - Tutored tasting / Hors D'ouvers / the option to buy the whisky you taste at exclusively reduced prices / buffet at a local hotel.
Our master classes offer an opportunity to learn about and enjoy what some of our finest malts have to offer. They will benefit whisky novices and experts alike and will be based around 15ml measures of each product. Over 18's only
