This one litre bottle of Single Malt was originally a travel retail exclusive from the Macallan Distillery. 

'Elegancia' which is Spanish for Elegance is a uniquely elegant Single Malt from the Macallan Distillery, matured in carefully selected Fino and Oloroso Sherry Casks.

This Macallan Elegancia is 12 years old. It was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2002. 

Matured in both oloroso and fino sherry casks.

The Macallan Elegancia is a light elegant style Highland Single Malt after maturation in rich dark Oloroso Sherry Casks and light crisp Fino Sherry Casks. 

Macallan have used Sherry Oak casks from the bodegas of Jerez, where the fresh oak casks have been filled with sherry for two years and then kept in Spain. After this the casks have been shipped and filled with Macallan whisky.

This limited edition is presented with a watercolor illustration of Easter Elchies House, a symbol of The Macallan's heritage and home of Macallan on the box.

Colour: Orange gold.

Nose: Light vanilla toffee, nutty with citrus fruits, floral, light wood spices and oak.

Palate: Light wood spices and lemon citus fruits, balanced with toffee and nuts set on a background of sweet malt.

Finish: Sweet spice and light vanillin oak.
