Ferocious 'Alligator' charring of new American white oak casks creating a spicy dark dram of hidden depths producing deep tarry coffee, barbecue sizzle and sooty aromas. 

A Rare Limited Release produced Non Chill Filtered at 51.2%. 

From the deep south of Islay, a dark new inhabitant has emerged. Laying in the silent darkness of warehouse 3, brooding and untamed. Now released into the wild with a unique spicy bite to catch you unawares. The Ardbeg Alligator is an expression that will prove a challenge to the unwary and test the palate of the most hardened Ardbeg adventurer. 

Nose: The warming nose comes in smoked root ginger and barbecue sauce , while chocolate, cumin and warm oak shavings lie in wait.

Palate: Hot and spicy smoked and charred with a leathery and sooty mouthfeel. Smoky pac choi and barbecue. The chocolate, ginger and black bean sauce roll around and around. 

Finish: Slow and long with mocha espresso and ginger, while cigar smoke ebbs away
