Benromach Batch 1 2008 Cask Strength The Classic Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 57.9% 70cl

Benromach Distillery was originally founded in 1898 and mothballed in 1983. 

Gordon and MacPhail then purchased the distillery in 1993 and commenced operation in 1998. The aim from this new beginning was to recreate an old school style Speyside Single Malt and use peated malt of around 12-14ppm for their entire operation. 

This Classic Benromach Batch 1 was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2019 at the cask strength of 57.9%.

The year after this was bottled the new core range Benromach was released in 2020. 

Matured in First Fill Bourbon and Sherry casks. 

Tasting Notes: Intense and richly complex with sherry kicks, stewed fruits, beeswax polish, vanilla pods and delicate smoke.
