Benromach Distillery was originally founded in 1898 and mothballed in 1983. 

Gordon and MacPhail then purchased the distillery in 1993 and commenced operation in 1998. The aim from this new beginning was to recreate an old school style Speyside Single Malt and use peated malt of around 12-14ppm for their entire operation. 

This Wood Finish Benromach Chateau Cissac was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2017 at 45%.

Matured in First Fill Bourbon barrels for over 5 years then followed by 25 months in Chateau Cissac wine casks.

Tasting Notes: Rich fruits, zingy limeade, wine tannin hints, peppery vanilla notes and a light wisp of bonfire embers.
