Dekanta was founded in June 2015 by Makiyo to make rare Japanese Whisky available globally.
This bottling marked Dekanta's second Single Malt and it was there first ever Sngle Cask Release.
The bottling comes with a pair of white gloves from Dekanta.
A Single Malt from the Asaka Distillery within Sasanokawa Shuzo, the maker of Yamazakura, deeply rooted in Tohoku, Japan.

Distilled on 27th June 2017, aged in a First-Fill Bourbon Cask, number #17172 and bottled on 13th July 2020.
Non Chill Filtered and Natural Colour bottled at 51%.
The name "Aoi" means blue in Japanese. It was chosen to reflect the symbolic significance of the colour in both Japan and Western culture. Blue as a 5 year Anniversary colour.
The label features Makito Masa, the founder of Dekanta dressed in a blue kimono surrounded by blue toned floral imagery.
Nose: Citrus fruits, freshly sliced apples, pear drops, gentle oak.
Palate: Vanilla ice cream, salted caramel, candied lemon peel, creamy toffee, gentle spice.
Finish: Medium length with juicy fruit and oak spice.
