The Whisky Cellar and Pintail names are from the independent bottler The Whisky Cellar. 

This bottle is one of our finest Single Grain Scotch Whiskies from the Girvan Distillery aged for 17 years. 

Single cask number 4012 and limited to just 256 bottles.

Distilled in 2006 and bottled on 15/02/2024 at 53.7%.

This unique Single Grain Scotch Whisky was distilled and filled at the Girvan Distillery in 2006 and was matured in a refill ex-bourbon hogshead then finished in a French oak barrique which previously held the fresh and fruity Brittany apple brandy, Fine Bretagne.

Tasting notes: Notes of apple tarte tatin, lemon sherbet, almond oil, jasmine blossom and white pepper. 

The original Pintail, named after the dabbling duck with its distinctive pointed tail feathers, was first bottled and distributed by Perth based wines and spirits merchant, Matthew Gloag & sons in 1931.

The Girvan Distillery was built in 1963 for William Grant & Son's primarily for Grant's blended whisky as well as some exceptional single grain whiskies. One of the original eco-friendly distilleries. The grounds of the Girvan Distillery also house the Ailsa Bay Distillery and Hendrick's Gin Distillery.
