Distillery Limited Edition Glencadam Single Cask, finished in Bordeaux Barrique and bottled at cask strength.
The Glencadam Distillery opened in 1825, just one year after distiling on a large scale was legalised. Today they are still using the same traditional and handcrafted production methods which they have done for nearly 200 years.
The Glencadam Distillery is located about half a mile outside the ancient city of Brechin in Angus.
Limited edition single cask Glencadam 2008 Bordeaux Barrique 14 year old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled in October 2022 at cask strength, non-chill filtered and natural colour
Distilled on 10/03/2008 and bottled October 2022.
Each bottle is individually numbered.
Single Cask number 9431 and limited to only 261 bottles.
Nose: Aromas of red berries, sea buckthorn jellym Morello cherry and cinnamon buns with nutmeg and stem ginger spices.
Palate: Black Forest gateaux, lotus biscuits, balck pepper and cake spice mingled with roling tobacco, raspberry jam and toasted oak.
Finish: Chocolate cherry liqueurs and black coffee fading into cocoa powder, bramble compote and cedarwood.
