Gordon held this position at the Distillery for 50 years between 1920 and 1970. This spirit had been resting in the oak wood casks maturing for seven years when Gordon retired in 1970. Following a year in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks this spirit was bottled 15 years later.
Only a limited quantity of Glenmorangie was distilled in 1963 and this bottle is 22 years old.
