House of Macduff specialise in bottling a range of single cask Scotch Whiskies under The Golden Cask brand; blended malts by batch under The Selkie brand, along with Burns Nectar single malt and Blend No 888 blended Scotch Whisky.
The Golden Cask series debuted in 2002 in some style, with bottlings of Macallan, Bowmore and Highland Park in the first run. In the early days, Golden Cask bottlings were mostly 10-15 year old casks from the late 1980s or early ‘90s, but the series stepped up a gear in 2006 with the first of ten famous bottlings of top quality Port Ellen that cemented its reputation among whisky fans.
Known for his expert knowledge and experience, they use the services of John McDougall as a consultant. One of a very rare and elite group of people who have been Production Director or Manager of a distillery in all of the traditionally recognised distilling regions in Scotland and is arguably the most experienced Whisky Expert and best overall Judge of Scotch Whisky in the business today.
