Hunter Laing & Company are still a family owned and managed third generation bottler of Scotch whiskies.
Stuart Laing and his sons Andrew & Scott established the company in 2013 following the split of Douglas Laing & Co. which Stuart owned with brother Fred.
Looked upon as one of the most respected names in Scotch whisky with brands including Old Malt Cask, Sovereign, Old & Rare, Distiller’s Art, First Edition and Hepburn’s Choice, their provenance and range of bottlings are second to none.
In 2016, Hunter Laing & Co. revealed plans to build its own single malt distillery on Islay to meet rising demand for peated Scotch whisky. Ardnahoe distillery, situated on the island’s east coast, filled its first cask of whisky on 9 November 2018, and opened to the public the following April.

The spirit being produced is sweet, smoky and smooth yet peaty and spicy – unique and dynamic to its very core.
