To commemorate the 10th Anniversary the Kilchoman Landrover toured through six countries across Europe. These included Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Denmark and Sweden. This Limited Edition bottling was only available from a small number of stops along the route.
Machir Bay, is the Kilchoman signature peated single malt, vatting and matured in both bourbon and sherry casks. Named after Islay’s most spectacular beach, the high proportion of bourbon barrels create a distinct balance of classic Islay character and fresh floral complexity.

Kilchoman is a family run business established by Anthony and Kathy Wills in 2005. As the business expanded, the husband and wife team were then joined by their three sons, James, George and Peter. The Wills family remain the driving force behind Kilchoman with Anthony as Managing Director and Master Distiller, Kathy running the Visitor Centre and their three sons managing the distillery’s sales and marketing activities.
The farm has a variety of landscapes covering an area of 2,300 acres, surrounding the ruined Kilchoman Church. The craggy hill ground to the south is grazed by their flock of blackface sheep. To the west, their herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle feed on a combination of machair grasses and draff, barley husks discarded during the whisky-making process.
The farm philosophy stems from Anthony and Kathy’s desire to resurrect the grass roots tradition of farm distilling. Producing the grain, distilling the spirit, maturing the casks and then bottling all at the Kilchoman Farm Distillery.
From the very beginning the plan was a 100% Islay range of Single Malt. A revival of Single Malt whisky being cultivated from barley to bottle in a single location.
Non Chill Filtered, Natural Colour and bottled at Cask Strength.
Colour: Beech
Nose: Lemon and citrus with a sweet smoky aroma.
Palate: Vanilla and butterscotch with an intense sweet peaty aftertaste.
Finish: Signature Kilchoman with a long lingering finish.
