When George Smith began distilling, The Glenlivet had no age statements and he selected whisky from casks of a range of ages. The distillery have replicated this freedom with The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve single malt scotch whisky, selecting whisky from a variety of traditional aged oak casks. The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve features a selection of oak and American oak casks.

Using a combination of traditional oak casks and American first-fill oak casks. 

A smooth and creamy single malt with notes of citrus fruit and sweet toffee, leading to a long, creamy finish

Nose: Sweet, creamy vanilla is wrapped around fruity aromas of sweet orange, pear drops and banana, with a hint of honey

Palate: Ripe pears and zesty oranges followed by toffee apples. Well-balanced and exceptionally smooth with luscious vanilla custard
