Special release of approximately 700 bottles.

Cast your mind back to that golden age for Donald P McDonald's two malt distilleries Ben Nevis and Nevis. On the property of Ben Nevis Distillery he built his handsome new pier for his fleet of streamers.

Donald Peter Mc Donald was the son of "Long John" McDonald a key figure in the ownership and expansion of the Ben Nevis Distillery in the 19th Century.

Donald took over the Distillery after his fathers death in 1856.

This bottling was intended as a recreation to the old Ben Nevis style under Donald McDonald, when their whisky was made with peated malt and largely matured in ex-sherry casks.

Orignally released in 2011 for the 185th anniversary of Ben Nevis Distillery.
