This Aberlour 10 year old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a fine sherried character, balanced with rich chocolate, toffee, cinnamon and ginger spice.
Traditional oak and seasoned sherry butts are both used to great effect, as the mellowed spirits within are combined to deliver a subtly balanced flavour.
Nose: Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Palate: Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel.
Finish: Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
