Established in 1904 The Whisky Castle is one of the oldest Whisky Shops in the world.

The Whisky Castle is a family run business and we are an Independent Whisky Shop. 

We are a small whisky shop in the Village of Tomintoul, which is the highest village in the Highlands within the Cairngorm National Park. We sit on the very scenic A939 snow road. We are open 7 days a week from April to October and 6 days a week from November to March.

We have a selection of whisky for tasting to help with your selection and we can provide a two or three dram tasting for a whisky experience. 

We have a top shelf of rare and collectable whisky, which can also be found on our website. 

We specialise in providing a wide range of whisky for every customer. We are proud to stock and supply a range of Single Malts and Blended Malts from Independent Bottlers and Distillery bottles. We also stock a number of rare and collectable Single Malts and our own Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. 

We have our own Single Casks provided by our Independent Partners. These Whisky Castle Exclusive Single Malts are very unique and only avaiable in our store or from us online. 

All of our single casks are cask strength, non-chill filtered and natural colour.
