From the Distiller's Art Limited we bring two extraordinary expressions together.

A rare single malt bottled at cask strength and numbered by hand.

Plus a print of an original painting of Ben Rinnes.

Individuall numbered and limited to just 319 bottles.

Nose: Hints of caramel with a floral and slightly citrus background

Palate: Opens with toffee and a sweet tangerine with a hint of peat

Finish: A light smokiness with sugar and spice

Artist Nichol Wheatley “I’ve always liked Ben Rinnes Hill and I’ve always liked Benrinnes whisky when I’ve been able to find it. The smell of it always has something that reminds me of spring. I was up there earlier in the year sketching, which is where this image comes from.”

Former colleagues and old friends George Thomson and Ewen Cameron had long been intrigued with the idea of establishing an independent cask bottling business. 

The spark that fired the concept behind the Spirit of Art Single Malts started from one of those deep philosophical discussions which takes place in a pub.

While there are a number of fine businesses of this type, neither George nor Ewen had any desire simply to imitate others. They wanted was an emotional connection that would take someone with a love of single malts on a journey to the heart of the place in which the whisky was produced.

As the discussion developed it became clear that a unique idea could bring the single malt lover to feel the sense of place and at the same time enjoy the taste unique to a selected cask.

They decided a painting to pair with the single malt would capture the essence of the landscape where the whisky was produced. This would be commissioned as a high quality print and also form the label for the bottle of malt.
