Clydebuilt 'Shipwright' is the second bottling from this award-winning series by the Ardgowan Distillery Company Limited.
A unique blended malt combining four distinctive whiskies from Highland and Speyside Distilleries. Each of these whiskies have matured in First Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks and then blended by the Master Whisky Maker Max McFarlane.
Max describes this blended malt as "breathe in the waves of marzipan, Ceylon tea, dried spices and hints of tobacco then roll the dram to the front of mouth and on the tip of the tongue you’ll find orange peel, rich dark notes of black cherries, and treacle. Then finally the finish is gentle and dry at first before gliding into lingering spicy notes.”

Nose: Warm aromas come in waves, bringing to mind the precious cargoes of the East, with scents of marzipan, leather, Ceylon tea, dried spices, tobacco and sandalwood.
Palate: This journey continues, as bright complexities of orange peel and rich dark notes of black cherries, and treacle.
Finish: Shipwright then settles gently, dry at first, then gliding into lingering spicy notes with hints of an old leather armchair.
