Glen Grant 45 y/o 1966 from Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Labels 40% 70cl
Glen Grant Distillery
We present a very rare and collectable 40 year old single cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the now closed and demolished Glen Mhor Disillery. This is presented in the Recollection Series for Private Collection from Gordon and MacPhail. Presented in a lovely wooden box.
The Glen Mhor Distillery was founded in 1892 and closed in 1983. This lost Distillery was located directly at the Caledonian Canal in Inverness.
This is one of the very last bottles from the Glen Mhor Distillery before the Distillery was closed and demolished.
Distilled 20/01/1982 and bottled 02/03/2022. This refill sherry hogshead cask bottling has a cask strength of 50.8%. Cask number 72.
Tasting Notes: Rich sherry influences with toasted hazelnuts and subtle milk chocolate. Morello cherry notes develop alongside sweet treacle toffee. Intense stewed fruit leads to pressed apple and demerara sugar. Raspberry compote combines with soft white pepper and a hint of dried tobacco. A full finish with citrus and summer fruit.
Limited to just 174 bottles.
