Aged exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks, this is a light, warming and welcoming dram that delivers flavours of fruit cake and winter spice. Elegant and delicate, but surprisingly complex, its subtly sweet and smooth profile makes for a great aperitif.
Nose: Sherry sweet malty tones, combine with delicate aromas, releasing subtle spices.
Palate: Delictely light with a combination of maltiness and sherry sweetness. Hints of dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves.
Finish: Long. smooth and spicy.
Since 1865 when the Glenfarclas Distillery was originally purchased by John Grant the Distillery has been owned and managed by just one family for five generations, the Grants of Glenfarclas.
Glenfarclas from the gaelic meaning is 'valley of the green grassland' nestles at the foot of Ben Rinnes in Speyside. The spirit is twice distilled in traditional direct fired stills and made in the original Highland Style.
