The Mac-Talla Range of Single Malt Scotch Whisky is proudly owned by the Morrison Family as Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers.
It all began during the 18th century when Morrison started out as grocers. The family business has since developed into whisky brokers, blenders, bottlers and distillers.
Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers is solely owned and operated by Jamie and Brian Morrison.
For every Single Malt release Morrison are committed to imparting their knowledge of distilling which they have learned over their generations of whisky making.
Over the generations they have gained access to a wide variety of unique and exceptional casks from distilleries throughout Scotland.
Mac-Tall means “echo” in Scottish Gaelic, which perfectly reflects the connection between the Morrison family and the Isle of Islay over four generations.
Each whisky in the Mac-Talla range has been created on the Island of Islay, off the West Coast of Scotland on the weather-beaten shores.
The Strata as the plural of stratum, its name refers to the many igneous rock formations that are visible along Islay’s rugged but breath-taking shores and landscape.
Rich and balanced matured in bourbon and sherry casks.
Non chill Filtered and Natural Colour bottled at 46%

Nose: Smoked barley, sea shells and sherried fruits.
Palate: Velvety texture with earthy peat and winter spices. Rich and warm with a lovely smoky finish.
