From Jim McEwan, distilled and bottled at Bruichladdich Distillery, Islay, Scotland.

Octomore Futures at 80.5ppm

The Octomore 1st Release for the ultra-peated Single Malt. When released 80.5ppm was the most heavily peated whisky in the world. At the time Jim McWean described the spirit as capturing "the warmth of a peat fire on a stormy winter's night" with flavours reflecting Scottish barley, mellow oak, marine freshness and slow-distilled fruitiness. 

Distilled on 16.10.2002 and bottled in April 2008.

Bottle Number 4231 and Limited to 9,600 bottles.

Barley Type: Optic

Non Chill Filtered and Natural Colour.
