Matured in hand selected American ex-bourbon and ex-Fino Sherry Casks gathering the Northen sea breeze to give the whisky its smooth, complex flavours and coastal characteristics.
Bottle label shows produced by Malcolm Waring the Distillery Manager at Old Pulteney. Malcolm joined the Distillery in 1990. He left the Distillery for a six year period to develop as a Manager, then returned to Old Pulteney as the Distillery Manager in 2006 until the present day.
This 21 year old Single Malt has matured in fine oak casks, quietly breathing in the fresh sea air from one of the most Northerly Distilleries on the Scottish mainland.
Intricate, balanced and with a delicate mineral salted spiciness.
This 21 year old Maritime Malt in Non Chill Filtered at 46%.
Appearance: Golden amber with straw highlights.
Aroma: Full bodied with traces of fruits (apples and pears) slightly fragrant with spicy overtones.
Tasting Notes: Sweet to start with a light fruitiness, hints of honey and vanilla followed by a dry finish.
