Strathmill Distillery supplies the essential ingredients into J&B blended scotch and is built on the site of a former corn mill. Many of the distillery buildings pre-date whisky production, which started in 1891.
Mossburn Distillers have released this Strathmill Single Malt to show the character of the Distillery.
Nose: Complex vanilla on the nose with sweet oaky spice and marzipan notes to the fore and hints of boiled sweets.
Palate: Oak comes to the fore, some toffee with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and barley sugar.
Finish: A long finish with evolving sweet spice.
