This very rare Highland Single Malt is the 5th entry into the prestigious Macallan Exceptional Single Cask range. 

This very special Macallan Unfiltered Cask Strength Single Cask numbered 552 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is still sealed in the original tube.

Laid to rest in single Oloroso Sherry butt number 552 on the 19th January 1989 and bottled over 14 years later on the 30th November 2003, this limited release comes complete with original presentation tube and cork stopper.

This Macallan Distillery special collectors bottle is still secured and sealed in its original tube with a blue seal. The bottle has not been seen outside of the tube. 

Produced by The Macallan Distillery as unfiltered and cask strength in 1989.

Date nosed 15/10/2003, tipped 29/11/2003 and bottled 30/11/2003 at 59.2%

The Tube has hand written tasting notes describing:

Nose: Rich in ginger and wood spices, orange peel, raisins, toffee with oak.

Taste: An abundance of wood spices (ginger, nutmeg) with fruit, chocolate and resins.

Finish: Fruity and wood spice.
