Tomintoul 14 year old to Commemorate the World's Largest Bottle of Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottle 54 46% 70cl

This is a special bottle of Tomintoul 14 year old and is limited to only 500 bottles. It commemorates the World's Largest Bottle of Whisky which was a Tomintoul 14 year old at 105.3 litres made by the Whisky Castle and the Clockhouse Restaurant and filled by the Tomintoul Distillery with 14 year old whisky. This is bottle number 54 of only 500.

Tomintoul 14 years old matured in a bourbon cask, bottled at 46% abv and is non-chill filtered to emphasis a richer and more robust style of the classic Tomintoul.

Matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, this whisky balances the sweet style of Tomintoul with a textured, full bodied and buttery flavour profile.

The area surrounding Tomintoul Distillery is one of astounding natural beauty. This natural environment combined with the fresh mountain air of the Cairngorms, the soft, pure water from the Ballantruan spring and the tall and mighty stills of Tomintoul, all contribute to creating our exceptionally smooth and well-balanced whisky.

Colour: Warm Gold

Nose: Sweet and inviting with aromas of sugared almonds, orchard fruits and creme brulee with hints of lemon curd and candied peels.

Palate: Madagascan vanilla pod and roasted almonds mixed with danish pastries, oat biscuits, citrus and baking spices.

Finish: Warming and toasty with layers of hazelnuts, mocha, vanilla sponge cake and ginger biscuits.

Our shop 'The Whisky Castle' was established in 1904 in the village of Tomintoul. We stock a large range of Tomintoul Whisky from our local Tomintoul Distillery and we also do instore Tomintoul Whisky tastings.
