The gift pack celebrates the magnificent beauty of the Cairngorms National Park, where the Tomintoul distillery has been making whisky since 1965. The image on the pack is of Loch A'An, the source of the river A'An which flows past the distillery.
The area surrounding Tomintoul Distillery is one of astounding natural beauty. This natural environment combined with the fresh mountain air of the Cairngorms, the soft, pure water from the Ballantruan spring and the tall and mighty stills of Tomintoul, all contribute to creating our exceptionally smooth and well-balanced whisky.
Nose: Elegant and fruity with aromas of cooked apples, sweet spices, vanilla sponge cake and sultana.
Palate: Creamy and textured with layers of tinned apricots, creme anglais, amoretto biscuits, rice pudding and beeswax with a cigar box spice.
Finish: Warm and sweet with notes of nutmeg. butter pastry, heather honey and vanilla toffee.
Our shop 'The Whisky Castle' was established in 1904 in the village of Tomintoul. We stock a large range of Tomintoul Whisky from our local Tomintoul Distillery and we also do instore Tomintoul Whisky tastings.
