This bottling was released in 2011 and is not often seen for sale. Only those casks offering classic floral and fruity characteristics with a gentle touch of spice have been selected to create this special whisky from the Tomintoul Distillery.

This classic Tomintoul 21 year old is a smooth and mellow bourbon finish single malt scotch whisky from the Speyside Tomintoul Distillery.

The Tomintoul 21 year old has been lovingly crafted from a selection of the finest American oak ex-bourbon casks. The end result is a well balanced, sweet and creamy whisky which is fruity and slightly spicy with a long-lingering finish.

The area surrounding Tomintoul Distillery is one of astounding natural beauty. This natural environment combined with the fresh mountain air of the Cairngorms, the soft, pure water from the Ballantruan spring and the tall and mighty stills of Tomintoul, all contribute to creating our exceptionally smooth and well-balanced whisky.

Colour: Rich amber

Nose: Exudes maturity, orange blossom honey, summer fruits and a new mown hay with a delicate nougat sweetness. 

Palate: Subtle balance of malty sweetness and spicy oak tones. Mature fruit cake flavours emerge with a hint of cigar box. Light but complex. 

Finish: Climbing spice.
