The distillery is owned by the Macpherson-Grant's who live in the nearby Ballindalloch Castle, the home of the family since 1546.
An old steading from 1848 was converted to be the new distillery in 2011.
The barley is grown in the surrounding fields and the draff from the production is fed to the herd of Black Angus owned by the family.
