Named as Staoisha this is the peated alter ego from Bunnahabhain Distillery, a distillery better know for it's elegant unpeated single malts. Produced only intermittently this Bunnahabhain Staoisha offers a rare glimpse into the distilleries smoky side, whislt retaining the coastal character and weight that defines the Bunnahabhain spirit.

The Story of the Cask:
This Single Malt has spent 12 years maturing, with it's final year in an Oloroso Sherry Cask to add depth and richness to the flavour. The result is a beautifully balanced whisky where the peat smoke and sweetness sit comfortably side by side.
On the nose and palate this Single Malt brings smoky barbecue sauce and savory peat embers wrapped in layers of dark sugar, gentle spice and subtle sherry sweetness.
Finn Thomson grew up being inspired by his Granddad, Michael who spent the 1980s and 1990s selecting and collecting the young casks of single malts and grains that had formed the secret recipe of the Beneagles blend, handed down over the generations. In doing so, he accumulated one of Scotland’s largest private cask collections.
