This Glencadam has been matured in bourbon casks for 25 years and comes in a beautifully crafted wooden presentation box.
The Glencadam Distillery opened in 1825, just one year after distiling on a large scale was legalised. Today they are still using the same traditional and handcrafted production methods which they have done for 200 years.
The Glencadam Distillery is located about half a mile outside the ancient city of Brechin in Angus.
This is a limited edition Glencadam bottling with this one being bottle number 1148 of only 1164 bottles matured in a bourbon cask for 25 years. This Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and natural colour
Each bottle is individually numbered.
Number 1148 and limited to only 1164 bottles.
Nose: A swirl of sweet malt and a hint of exotic fruit chased by a wave of mixed nuts and a whiff of the inside of a cigar box.
Palate: A complex combination of guava fruit, hazelnuts and almonds mixed with rich oak tones.
Finish: Soft oaky spice with a ginger and pepper finale.
