The Glengassaugh Distillery was originally founded in 1875 and the distillery has seen many changes over the years.
Sitting on the wild and wonderful North East coast of Scotland this coastal distillery uses its environment to help produce its spirit.
Rachel Barrie is the Master Blender for the distillery.
In 2023 the Distillery released three new core range Single Malts, the 12 year old, the Portsoy and the Sandend.
The Glenglassaugh 12 year old is a harmonious balance of their signature coastal style, lush, tropical and coastal. Matured in bourbon, sherry and red wine casks for luscious waves of ripe fruit carried on an ocean breeze.
Nose: Sweet coastal waves of ripe apricot and fig meld with toasted vanilla and tropical flora, carried on a warm ocean breeze.
Palate: Candied pistachio, date and sweet fig roll into waves of morello cherry and whipped cream, infused with fresh coastal air.
