Gordon & MacPhail 'Speymalt from Macallan Distillery' is the combination of a very long partnership between Gordon & MacPhail and Macallan Distillery.

For the Speymalt Range, Macallan Distillery produces a wonderfully complex spirit which Gordon and MacPhail then carefully mature in quality oak casks ordered epecifically for the 'Speymalt from Macallan Distillery' range.
Distilled on 25/09/2000 and bottled on 06/03/2026.
25 year old First Fill Sherry Hogshead cask number 3235.
Limited to only 556 bottles. Non-chill Filtered and Natural Colour bottled at 58.5%
Nose: Stewed red fruit aromas accompanied by dates and dark cocolate.
Palate: Seville orange zest and toasted hazelnuts with ginger spice.
Finish: Medium bodied finish with mature oak and marzipan.
Gordon & MacPhail is an independent bottler and distiller of Scotch Whisky, founded in 1895 and located in Elgin in the north-east of Scotland. James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail established a grocery business in Elgin and started in the scotch whisky business.
In the early days John Urquhart started as an apprentice and quicky established himself as a valuable associate for James Gordon in selecting, purchasing, and maturing whiskies from local distilleries. John Urquhart developed his skills as a Master of Malt Whisky, building an impressive portfolio of maturing whisky casks. John continued to run the business and was then able to pass his knowledge and passion for whisky to his family. Gordon and MacPhail continue to be a family run business owned by the Urquhart Family.
