Tomintoul 'Five Decades' 50th Anniversary Special Release Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 50% 70cl

Specially Released to commemorate the Tomintoul Distillery 50th Anniversary with a combination of single malts, one taken from each decade.

This is bottle Number 0483 which was bottled at 50% in July 2015.

Individual Casks were chosen from 1965 when they started distilling, then from 1975,1985, 1995 and 2005 by Master Distiller, Robert Fleming, producing 5,230 individually numbered bottles.

Colour: Barley Gold

Nose: A swirl of sweat malt with a hint of exotic fruit chased by a wave of mixed nuts and the whiff of the inside of a cigar box.

Palate: A complex melange of guava fruit, hazelnuts and almonds with rich oak tones.

Finish: Soft oaky spice with a ginger and pepper finish.
