The North British Distillery was founded in 1885 in Edinburgh. This distillery was built at the time when blended whisky was becoming very popular worldwide and when a grain whisky was needed within this production. North British quickly became one of the largest and most important grain distilleries within Scotland. This is a distillery that has never closed. 

Distilled on 02/06/1991 and bottled on 02/01/2026

Each bottle is numbered and Limited to only 170 bottles.

Finn Thomson grew up being inspired by his Granddad, Michael who spent the 1980s and 1990s selecting and collecting the young casks of single malts and grains that had formed the secret recipe of the Beneagles blend, handed down over the generations. In doing so, he accumulated one of Scotland’s largest private cask collections.
