Tomintoul Five Decades 50th Anniversary Special Release Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 50% 70cl

Specially Released to commemorate Tomintoul Distillery 50th Anniversary with a combination of single malts from each decade.

Individual Casks were chosen from 1965 when they started distilling, then from 1975,1985, 1995 and 2005 by Master Distiller, Robert Fleming, producing 5,230 individually numbered bottles.

This is bottle Number 2826 which was bottled at 50% in July 2015.

Colour: Barley Gold

Nose: A swirl of sweat malt with a hint of exotic fruit chased by a wave of mixed nuts and the whiff of the inside of a cigar box.

Palate: A complex melange of guava fruit, hazelnuts and almonds with rich oak tones.

Finish: Soft oaky spice with a ginger and pepper finish.
